Samora la Perdida (she/they) is a trilingual creator and performer. She starred in the 2022, Off-Broadway productions of Soho Rep’s Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Board Members, Quiara Alegría Hudes’ My Broken Language at Signature Theatre, and A Transparent Musical at the Mark Taper Forum. She recently performed in Dylan Mulvaney’s Day 365 Live! at the Rainbow Room and workshopped the lead role of John Leguizamo’s new musical comedy SHESUS. Samora wrote and starred in the Spanglish rap opera, pato, pato, maricón,which premiered at Ars Nova’s ANT Fest and recently gave a TEDx Talk entitled, Do Latines Need to Speak Spanish? Finding Your Lost Mother Tongue. Samora graduated from CMU with degrees in Drama and Global Studies and was a YoungArts Presidential Scholar at LaGuardia High School.
